This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Sponsored Tweets. All opinions are 100% mine.
Last spring I was invited to try out Sponsored Tweets. I was open to the idea of publishing sponsored tweets — within reason — so I decided to give it a whirl. The premise of the program is simple:
1) Publish sponsored tweets that you approve of
2) Get paid for the published sponsored tweets
I reached my first $50 payout in October. Yes, it took a while, but Sponsored Tweets was just getting off the ground, so naturally it would take a while for the advertise pool to build up. In the meantime, the pool of publishers was overflowing, so it seemed as if there weren’t a lot of tweets to go around.
Luckily, that’s all changed. In the last five weeks I have published over $30 worth of sponsored tweets.
Speaking of money, the cost per tweet is up to you, but the Sponsored Tweets system will take a look at your Twitter account and come up with a recommended price. This price is based on your followers, your activity and the type of tweets that you post.
Here is what a publisher’s profile looks like:

As you can see, publishers have complete control over how much they’ll be paid for sponsored tweets, whether they’ll write ads, accept pre-written ads or both, and what category of sponsored tweets they’d like to publish.
I really like Sponsored Tweets because every single tweet is fully disclosed. I even have the option to customize the disclosure, and place it at the beginning or end of the tweet. I can also write my own sponsored tweets, unless I happen to receive a request for a sponsored tweet that is already pre-written (you can set your tweet preferences in your profile).
So what are you waiting for? If you’re agreeable to sponsored tweets, go sign up for sponsored tweets!
