Now that we own a home, we’re spontaneously coming up with ways to improve it. When we rented our focus was on keeping our home clean and worthy of us getting our security deposit back. But now that we actually own something, and are up to our eyeballs in debt because of it, we’re definitely showing more interest in fixing it up and doing new things. Before we moved in we painted all three bedrooms, and since moving in we’ve upgraded the sink faucets, improved lighting, did some things outside, installed a ceiling fan in the living room, and have thrown around tons of ideas that unfortunately require seemingly tons of money to make them all happen.
Weekend Project is a pretty neat piece of software that I’m kind of interested in, even though I just discovered its existence tonight. Some of the ideas Dan and I throw around we’re rather unsure of the execution on, and I’m sure we’re not the only people that this happens to. Weekend Project is designed to help you get down to the business of doing home repairs, improvements and upgrades without a lot of hassle, muss and fuss or dramatic overhauls. The software covers all sorts of indoor and outdoor projects, and has illustrations, guides and other visual aids to help even the newbies along with their projects. In addition, tips from Kristian Cunningham (you may know her from The Rachael Ray Show) are also included!
Here’s a video that probably explains Weekend Project better than I have:
