When I got home from the hospital there was an IZEA Postie Pack waiting for me! Dan brought it in, and Alyssa couldn’t wait to take a peek at the inside contents (we’ve gotten a few Postie Packs before, and they’re always full of fun stuff!). We weren’t disappointed. There was a short letter from the guys at IZEA, a fabric turkey hat (modeled by Alyssa and yours truly), and a bottle of Tofurky and Gravy Jones Soda .
Now, I’m not supposed to be eating anything other than protein shakes, soup broth, gelatin and water, but I went ahead and took a small sip of the Tofurky and Gravy Jones Soda, and did so near the kitchen sink, so I could spit it out instead of swallowing it. I’m glad I did — carbonation would NOT be good for my tiny stomach and re-arranged intestines right now! Taste-wise, blech was my first reaction. But I’d imagine it wouldn’t taste too bad with mashed potatoes, stuffing or a bit of turkey or tofurky (tofu turkey). It did taste like I thought it would, especially after I saw the color and consistency of it through the bottle. It is definitely an interesting flavor, and it could be a unique gift idea to give around Thanksgiving!

Hehe n__n I hope you’ve tried the other types of Jones Soda and not let the weird Tofurky and Gravy soda ruin your image about them. Sometimes they have really weird flavors (I saw a candy corn flavored one at the 99 Cents store the other day. I would have tried it but I don’t like candy corn that much) Jones makes a fantastic green apple soda and strawberry lime! Plus their naturals are awesomeeee. I love the D’peach Mode one n__n Its a shame that I can’t find it anywhere though :[
I was always curious about these type of Jones soda’s… now I’m not anymore lol.
