- Dan and I have been having some issues with our car loan lender and mortgage company that is leading us to meet with a lawyer next Monday afternoon. It’s not a route we wanted to take, but in this case there may be no alternative. Lawyers = expensive. Blah.
- My car’s windshield is currently taped along the top with multiple strips of packing tape, since it (the windshield) had the nerve to let loose from its adhesive. Seriously, without the tape to keep the top of the windshield down, it lifts up and away from the car whenever I shut a door. So, I have an appointment tomorrow morning to get that fixed.
- The kids’ preschool tuition is due in two weeks. Meh.
- The green call/phone button on my T-Mobile G1 has apparently kicked the bucket. Making calls isn’t a problem, since I can press the number after I type it in or hit “Enter” on the keyboard, but answering calls is a whole ‘nother thing altogether. I need to find an app or workaround that lets me do the whole “any key” answer thingy. Or the ability to touch the incoming call’s notifier in order to answer. Because otherwise I have send the call to voicemail, then call back. I had to do that this morning when the lawyer called.
On the flip side, I just heard from a client that I last did some work for in September of 2008. Needless to say, that has quite made my day!

The tape on the top of our windshield was coming up, though the windshield never lifted from it’s spot. We used some silicone sealant to fix it. Hopefully things will get better for you.
I hope 2010 gets better as the days go on… Sorry you had to contact a lawyer, but sometimes, it’s all you can do.
I hope things improve soon. It sucks when all things happen all at once
ugh. good luck!
Welp, that’s a crappy way to start off the new year. Hope things get better real soon.
Lawyer’s fees suck and they always feel so useless no matter what you get in return. I hope it resolves quickly and easily.
Awh man what a shitty beginning to the new year. You’re right though, if there’s one thing, it’ll be followed by a few more. I just got back from 2 weeks at home with my son only to be reminded by his daycare that I didn’t pay them for those 2 weeks when he wasn’t even there! Then there’s my credit card bill that just came in and nearly knocked me on my ass…
That mortgage business must be really awful if you’ve had to resort to getting a lawyer. I hope everything gets sorted out quickly.
I know how you feel (kinda). My new year is starting out kinda shitty too, (with our car getting repaired in the shop, because it won’t start). I hope your 2010 gets better as it goes on.
Keep your chin up! :D
There is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope get better for you soon hun *hugs*
I’m sorry to hear things have been so lame.
It seems that financial issues seem to pile on very heavily. Hopefully things with your lawyer won’t turn out to be too expensive. Yay for clients! I hope that goes well. Good luck!
That’s not a great way to start off 2010… hope things start looking up for you.
I really hope WellsFargo isn’t your car loan lender OR mortgage lender. I’m STILL dealing with that headache as are a few people I know…
Oh LORD don’t you just hate this time of year when insurances give you the run around and everything just seems to suck all at once? Good luck dealing with all of those things.
