I was so excited to go to the grocery store today, because it meant being able to finally stock up enough meat to merit the use of the vacuum sealer my husband gave me for Christmas! ♥ This sucker is SO much better than my old one. My old one had one option: suck & seal, and half the time it wouldn’t complete the former so it never got around to the latter. This one has plenty of options, including the ability to manually vacuum & seal, or just seal! A built in bag dispenser and cutter just sweetens the deal.
(Wow, did I just seriously dedicate an entire blog entry to my vacuum sealer?)

I want one of those SO BAD! I’m always dealing with meat going bad in the freezer because there’s air in the packaging somehow. Where did your husband get that beautiful thing?

Oh wow, that would really come in handy for sealing frozen soups. I came across this entry last week when you wrote it and wondered if I would ever want one. Sure enough, yesterday while researching how to freeze soup properly, I thought of this entry and how useful it would be to have one now.
