I have been battling a fever since Thursday afternoon. Between then and now it’s been bouncing between 100.8 and 103.5, despite taking childrens’ liquid Tylenol and Dayquil every 4 hours. I also have a persistent cough, so I’ve been treating that with a combination of the Dayquil and prescription codeine cough syrup. I don’t know what I have, but it really sucks. I’m sleeping a lot, obviously, and when I’m awake I’m really out of it, dizzy, light-headed, experiencing darkening vision, ringing in the ears, etc. We’re snowed in with approximately two feet or so of snow, so going somewhere for more meds is obviously out of the question. We should be able to get out tomorrow, or by Monday morning at the latest, so hopefully there’ll be enough Dayquil to last me until then. I do have some chewable Tylenol tablets as well, but since they’re for kids I’d have to take 4-6 at a time to get a proper dosage, so I’d go through them all in no time.
The timing of this illness sucks, since I just received a bunch of writing work on the subject of baby shower invitations, which is like one of the EASIEST things to write about. And it especially since Danielle and Matt are here for the weekend. They barely beat the snow; in fact it took them quite a while to drive the last ten miles because of how quickly the snow was laying. But they made it safely, and we’ve been lounging with the kids, our laptops, TV, and the Wii. They brought along Mario Kart, which was a lot of fun to play, and this evening the three of us and Alyssa played some Super Mario Bros.
Right now I’m laying back in the living room recliner, waiting for the latest dose of Dayquil to kick in. Dan is cooking lasagna for us, and it smells heavenly. I can’t wait to [try to] eat!

As the domain name suggests, my name is Jenn, and I own this blog. I'm 26 years old and married to my one true ♥, Daniel. And while I have two kids (Alyssa is five, and Ryan is three), you won't find "mommy" in my username or email address, nor does my blog revolve around them. I'm a mother, but most importantly I am me, with a passion for love, blogging, reading, and photography. I'm also a busy freelance writer, web designer & SEO goddess.

Looking at your pictures on dailybooth and flickr, you can tell that you are not feeling well.
I hope that this goes away soon so you can get back to normal.
