Right now I’m hanging out at the kitchen table, since it gives me a large workspace that is more than adequate for working on my laptop while I install Windows 7 on Dan’s laptop. He’s had Windows 7 for nearly a year, but it’s the release candidate version, which will start shutting down every two hours as of March 1st (holy crap, is that really just a day away?). I’m also drinking a slightly lumpy protein shake, but I don’t mind the lumps, since it’s an Inspire Pure whey protein isolate drink. It isn’t drop-dead delicious or anything to write home about, but compared to the other protein mixes I’ve tried, it’s definitely appealing. This one is peanut butter cookie flavored; my favorite of the bunch (I ordered a sample pack from bariatric eating.com) is most definitely the pom razz sangria — I could seriously add a small splash of vodka to that bad boy and really enjoy myself. ;) Thanks to these shakes, I’m not only hitting my daily protein goals, I’m exceeding them. I’m hoping that in a week or so I’ll notice a reduction in the amount of hair I’m losing every day, or at least an increase in energy. With my new full-time job, I’m going to need it!
The extra protein is helping my weight loss, that’s for sure. 230.4 yesterday, 230.2 today. Here’s to hoping I hit 229 lbs. on Monday. That would be awesome! But in the meantime, wearing size 18 jeans and size 18/20 tops is good enough for me.
So, who has plans for the rest of the weekend? Not me! Although Dan did put the new brake pads on my car today, so I’m not exactly trapped like a rat in the house any more… but I can’t think of anything we need, and I’m certainly not going to run out and do any frivolous spending (as fun as it is to do…). And being trapped in the car with Alyssa and Ryan, who both insist on Mommying me to death every .2 seconds? No thank you! However, I do plan on going to Panera Bread tomorrow night to do some major blogging across a few different blogs (and not just my own!); but depending on how much I get done tonight, that may not be necessary.
Well, I’m going to get back to chugging down the rest of this bland, lumpy, slightly-peanut-buttery-tasting protein drink (man I miss the days of gulping down 4-8 ounces of liquid in one shot! If I do that now I’ll violently vomit it all back up. And yes, I do speak from experience!), and then it’s off to bloggity-blog-land for me. Oh, and maybe some Skyping with my brother-in-law’s girlfriend? That would be fun! *goes to look for headset*

The idea of an alcoholic protein shake made me giggle. But seriously, pom razz sangria sounds amazing.
Protein really helped me to lose the weight too! At one point I was up to 150ish grams of protein a day! Now I usually reach for 90-100 grams a day, sometimes more. I need to buy some protein powder!
Good job with the weight loss. I’m really proud of you and what you have done.
My plans for the weekend are to just rest and work on my website. Of course, my Sunday is busy because of my folk dancing but other than that I don’t really have anything else to do this weekend.
I am considering taking some supplements as I’ve always struggled with gaining weight and while they didn’t help when I was younger, I think if I stick with it and continue to ensure I receive the proper nutrition, I might actually see a change! Lol.
Those shakes look really yummy!!!
I will have to order myself some. I know, I need more protein into my diet as well, hopefully i will lose the weight more quickly as well. *crosses fingers* ;)
