I found my memory card when I got into bed last night, but I was too tired to get back out of bed, so I put off the photo processing & uploading until today.
I love it. I shampooed and conditioned my hair this morning with Bed Head’s Superstar line, which is designed for color-treated hair, but the shampoo and water that I rinsed out was bright pink. Whoops. I know this stuff is only demi-permanent, but I’m going to do my best to prolong it. One thing I want to do ASAP is pick up a squirt bottle and mix conditioner and some additional Manic Panic dye together in it. That way, every time I condition my hair — and leave it in for at least 3-5 minutes so it can do its thing — I’ll add some color back.
So, did everyone remember to turn their clocks forward last night/this morning? I didn’t even know it was time to spring forward until the other day. Why is it that it always creeps up on me last minute? Easter is the same damn way. I just found out about two weeks ago that Easter is on April 4th, and here I am, with Easter just three weeks away, and I haven’t bought a single bag of candy yet. But at least we already have the most important — and most expensive — component: the Easter baskets. The cheap, crappy baskets always annoyed me, so three years ago I splurged on $20 baskets. They’re really nice, and it’s nice not having to worry about buying new baskets every year.
Ugh, is it really 6:00pm 7:00pm already? I swear, this day flew by way too quick, and I only accomplished maybe three things off my rather lengthy to-do list? Ugh…

That hair color is HOT on you, probably the best I’ve seen your hair.
I was going to make the suggestion to mix the dye with your conditioner. That’s what I did and I never had to re-dye my hair.
The color looks great. I just keep with blonde, unless I get a wacky idea around Halloween time and use those sprays…lol
I hope the color lasts for you. Is there no way to maintain the color for a long time… does the permanent color stay potent. One of my friends does her hair and it always seems to fade and seems like at least once a month, she is freshening up her hair color.
Love the new cut and color! I would do the color in a heartbeat but I’d never get away with it at work.
A tip my stylist shared with me years ago: wait at least 24-48 hours after dying your hair to shampoo it. It let’s the dye set better and keeps it from washing out. The conditioner that comes with it is ok but nothing else.
You look great! Keep it up. :-)
Oh my gosh I loooooove that hair color! It looks fabulous, Jenn!! :D
Beautiful!! It’s so super duper red! I LOVE IT!!! I wish only if I can keep my hair that red for that long. Is it a new brand? Superstar??
I want to dye my hair but I don’t think it would do much since it’s so dark. Maybe I’ll pick up some blue or purple, at the least it will add a colored sheen to my hair.
PS: pssst wheres that new layout woman!
Talk about quick day today …
Last night I picked my brother up @ 1:00 and before I blinked my eyes, it was already 4:00 AM which is when I went to bed …
I have just realized today about the time change and the day flew by so quick. I guess we just have to get used to it.
As I said many times already, I love your new hair !
The color looks great! It’s funny because currently my hair is almost the exact same shade as yours (I use a red violet dye by joico) and I’m also using bed head’s superstar shampoo and conditioner lol!! dont you just love the smell?! the shampoo is alright, but the conditioner smells like philosophy’s falling in love/unconditional love fragrances (they smell similar lol) so if you like it you should try those perfumes
and it might sound crazy, but i would try mixing some of the dye in with the shampoo rather than the conditioner. conditioner seals and protects the hair, so the color will kind of just sit on top of the hair (i.e. it will rub off onto everything like pillows, shirts, etc) sorry im starting to get all cosmetologist on you lol
