I’m really sucking at this blogging thing

Hey there. I know, I know, it’s been a few days. Okay, more than a few. More like several. What can I say? I’ve been around. But I’ve been working my shrinking butt off. Needless to say, Eden Fantasys has been keeping me very busy. But I’m fine with that, considering that next week’s paycheck may be very close to being in the quadruple digits. And in between that work I’ve been catching up on freelance work. The free time I have had has been eaten up by this, that and the other thing. And then yesterday, the day I thought, “Finally! I’ll have time to blog on jenn.nu, I’ll have time to throw up a new theme at Lavish, and I may even have time to create a light theme for Photography Girls (in answer to the multiple inquiries & criticisms about PG: Yes, I am still interested in running the board. No, you may not have it. Thank you for asking and for offering, but I can handle it. I plan on sinking some time into her tomorrow afternoon, when I’m home and recovering from my stricture fixing procedure & sedation meds, and aside from an Easter egg hunt this Saturday afternoon, I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeee!), yay!”, I got blindsided with an 8,000 word writing project that had a deadline of ASAP. Heh.

So I’m at Panera Bread for the evening. It’s hard to work diligently from home, especially with the kidlets running around. There’s so much to do for them, for the house, etc. It’s hard to focus, hence my weekly run(s) to PB. (I’m slacking on getting this blog entry published, because my fingers don’t want to cooperate. Damn over-typing!) I plan on blogging here, maybe doing a bit of blogging elsewhere, and then just relaxing for a while.

Tomorrow I have my stricture fix. Finally. I’ve only been throwing up food more than I keep down for almost three months. My weight loss is slower because of the lack of sustenance. To make matters worse, all of the vomiting has really turned me off of eating, so a lot of days I don’t consume much of anything. Anyway, the stricture fix is an endoscopic procedure that I’ll be put out for. Then they’ll shove a contraption in my mouth to keep me from biting down, and run a large catheter with an attached camera down my throat and into my stomach pouch. They’ll check things out, then navigate to my stoma — the “exit” from my stomach pouch — where they’ll line up the catheter, thread a balloon down it, and then inflate the balloon to stretch open the stoma, which most likely has healed too small, hence the vomiting.

I’m looking forward to getting the procedure done, so I can, you know, actually eat a little more and keep everything down, but I’m starting to get nervous. I’ve been doing real good with putting it out of my mind all week, but now that it’s Surgical Procedure Eve, I’m starting to get a little antsy. Fortunately work is keeping me busy and sleep-deprived, so going to sleep tonight shouldn’t be too much of a problem. ;)

With April just around the corner, I’m going to do my best to blog more. Maybe I can get in a post for every day of the month? I’m not holding my breath or making any promises, but I’m going to try!
