Last night I did something I have never done before. I danced. With Dan. In public. And I don’t mean slow dancing. I mean the rhythmic, hip-swaying, undulating, could-almost-be-classified-as-dry-humping dancing. I had about half of a drink in me, which was just about enough to get me over my major fat-girls-do-NOT-dance inhibitions, and Dan was more than excited about it. And yes, I mean that both figuratively and literally. Heh.
You know what? I had a lot of fun. And once I got over the initial awkwardness of it, and realized that a) other people weren’t watching and b) I really don’t give that much of a crap if they do, I had fun. Dan had fun. And after the bar closed at 2:00am, we had some major intense sex that was definitely fueled by us getting each other hot and ready for it back at the bar.
We’re going again this coming Saturday night, and I can’t wait!!!

Heh, when I lived in Texas, my friends and I used to go to clubs and I didn’t care what people said – the fat chick was on the dance floor dancing regardless. :D But yay for getting out there and dancing! :D
Good for you! I have only gained that condidence once– on spring break in Ft. Lauderale years ago. It was ladies night, therefore we drank for FREE and got in the clubs for free. That was enough to allow me to let go. Now I live in Las Vegas and feel like the crowd is super skinny and drop dead gorgeous at the clubs, and nothing is EVER free so I haven’t had a night like that since!
The fact that you and Dan are still very intimate and passionate with each other is really encouraging to me. I’ve always thought that marriages turned into best friends living with each other after a few years, but hearing about your marriage gives me hope.
