This time six months ago I was in the operating room having gastric bypass surgery. According to my mom and Dan himself, Dan was nervous and anxious until I was out of surgery. Heh… like I was calm! I kept my shit together until I was in pre-op. Then I started to feel myself losing control of my shaky calm, so I asked for something to relax me. I forget what they gave me, but whoooooooooooooo! I don’t remember much after that, although I do remember being wheeled into the operating room, my surgeon saying hello, and me bursting into tears and begging the anesthesiologist to put me out of my misery. I remember them putting an oxygen mask on my face, my surgeon hugging me, and my brief complaint about the mask feeling too tight. That was it. When I was next aware of anything, I was in recovery, it was around 11:00am, and my chest hurt from the displaced air, so I was breathing very slowly and shallowly and setting off the monitors every few minutes.
I have come a long way since that morning, and I’d do it over and over and over again if I had to. This time a year ago I was almost 330 lbs. (size 30/32 tops & 26/28 bottoms). This time six months ago I was 286.6 lbs. (size 24/26 tops & 24 bottoms). Today I am 214.4 lbs. (size 16 tops & 16 bottoms). And if I can lessen the vomiting and increase my protein consumption, I’ll continue losing weight, but at a faster rate. My goal is 160 lbs., and I hope to see that number by Christmas!
Before & after pictures:

I have to say, you look absolutely wonderful! I hope you can reach that 160 goal by Christmas!
Congrats on your surgiversary! Your progress (an just you in general) is awesome! I’m sure you’ll meet your goal by Christmas!
Congrats
Looking quite amazing but better yet, feeling more amazing is a wonderful thing. I’m glad you are celebrating your milestones. Keep up the great work, even when it gets tiring (or vomity)
WOW!!!! you look amazing Jenn!! The before and after pictures are impressive! You can really see the difference! I’m sure you will reach your goal of 160 before Christmas! I’m excited to see more milestones that you will be reaching through your weight loss progress.
You look great Jenn.
Try not to worry too much about how fast or slow you’re losing weight as that can actually hinder your weight loss, even if your stomach is the size of an egg. It sends off signals to your body to retain anything. While you may not be at your goal weight yet, you are getting there and are a long ways away from what you were before.
You look AMAZING Jenn. I agree with Dez on not stressing too much about the weight loss. Keep doing what you’re doing and give it some time. It’s worked so far.
Wow it really is an amazing difference. You are totally beautiful! Before and after, but the confidence and happiness shines through on all the afters!
WOW YOU LOOK GREAT!!!!
Your before pictures don’t even look like you anymore!
Congrats! You look amazing! The difference in before and after is unbelievable.
Wow! What a change! :D
You’re looking healthy and great!
Here’s hoping you reach your goal–but even if you don’t, you’ve come such a long way and should be proud regardless.
