Dove has been kind enough to send me two of the conditioners that are included in their Daily Treatment line.
The first conditioner, the more “general purpose” one (in my opinion, anyway), Dove Damage Therapy Daily Moisture Daily Treatment, is designed to include Dove’s patented micro moisture serum and fiber actives, which work together to restore smoothness and softness to stressed out hair. The treatment is gentle and cost-effective enough to use in your daily shower routine, but effective enough to rebuild damaged hair proteins.
My thoughts: I love it! Since having gastric bypass surgery I have noticed both hair loss and a loss of hair quality. My hair is definitely more brittle these days, and natural coarseness of it doesn’t help matters. I have been using Dove Damage Therapy Daily Moisture Daily Treatment in conjunction with several different shampoos (Organix, Bed Head, Victoria’s Secret, etc.), and it’s performed beautifully. Softness and smoothness is definitely more noticeable, and my hair just feels richer and more saturated (in a good way) than it did when I was using other conditioners. Now I want to pick up the shampoo to see if I’ll notice even more of an improvement!
Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Daily Treatment, in my opinion, is a conditioner that every woman should use to kick-start their hair repair regimen. Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Daily Treatment also contains Dove’s patented micro moisture serum and fiber actives, which work together to not only rebuild damaged hair proteins, but prevent future split ends and hair breakage.
My thoughts: Where was this stuff five years ago?! At that time I had been bleaching and coloring my hair for the past consecutive six years, and the damage was definitely noticeable. Add in daily exposure to sun and heavily chlorinated water (pool), and my hair was so damaged and tough that it stuck together in one matted clump. It was a nightmare to tame, and it was almost worse to brush out when it was freshly shampooed and conditioned than it was when dry. Currently, however, Dove Damage Therapy Intensive Repair Daily Treatment is just a little too moisture-happy for my hair. It works out great for the first few hours after I’ve showered, but within 10-12 hours of taking a shower my hair is looking pretty slick (in a bad way). The good news? With summer right around the corner and me itching to put some blonde streaks in my hair, I have a feeling that this conditioner won’t be relegated to the bathroom cabinet for long.
You Glee fanatics (P.S. I sat through an entire episode of Glee last night and just didn’t “get it”. We didn’t click. What’s the appeal? I sincerely want to know!) are probably wondering why Glee is in the title of this post. Well, Dove is now the official haircare sponsor of the entire cast of Glee! Those poor men and women are not only subjecting themselves to normal routines that damage hair (hair dryers, curlers, straighteners, being out in the sun, etc.), but additional things like excessive styling and touching up for the shows, and then being under hot and heavy stage lights, etc. Lea Michele, one of the actresses in Glee, is working together with Dove Hair Care to encourage women to continue doing the things they love with their hair (including styling, cutting, coloring, and even bleaching!), because Dove’s new line of hair care products will help to undo the resulting damage.
Furthermore, at Dove’s Glee For All, you can enter to win a chance at visiting the official Glee set! Exclusive footage from the Glee tour and Lea Michele’s tour rehearsal performances are also available on the website. Professional celebrity stylist Gretta Monahan is also on virtual hand to give you tips and advice on hair care, and you can find general Dove Hair Care product info on the site as well.
Disclaimer: Dove provided me with free products in exchange for providing my unbiased opinion of them. I was not compensated — except with the products themselves — for this post.

It took me two or three episodes to get hooked on Glee–I think it’s important to know the story line/characters in order to fully enjoy the show. Plus, I think you have to be somewhat of a sucker for music theatre to fully get sucked in. If you have netflix–order the first season!
