[Sex toy review + giveaway] G-Spot Jewel

Disclaimer: this is a review + giveaway of a sex toy.

MyPleasure.com recently offered me the opportunity to review a product for them, and you should know by now that I’m not going to turn down a sex toy. Daniel and I have a very active and healthy sex life, but a girl should always have a few sex toys around for added spice and solo fun! In my case, I have a whole treasure chest of ‘em, but I digress… So! MyPleasure.com sent me the G-Spot Jewel, and let me tell you, I couldn’t wait to try it out. Of course, my period decided to grace me with its unwelcome presence not long after I received the toy, so I had to wait until that died down before giving the toy a whirl.

G-Spot Jewel The G-Spot Jewel is exactly what it sounds like — a toy designed to provide g-spot stimulation. I know there’s some debate over whether or not the g-spot really exists. I personally believe it does, even if it’s just nothing more than a random collection of sensitive tissues and nerve endings that may not be located in precisely the same spot on every woman out there. And for me, stimulating that random collection of sensitive tissues and nerve endings feels damn good when done in conjunction with clitoral stimulation, so I couldn’t wait to try out the G-Spot Jewel! In addition to providing pressure and vibrations against the there-or-not-there g-spot, the Jewel also features a nubbed area that, when angled correctly, will press up against your clitoris to provide it with stimulation as well.

The G-Spot Jewel is made from “hygienic material” (this is taken directly from the product page; it feels like TPR, but I could be mistaken, as I am still somewhat new to the wide range of materials for sex toys!), and as you can no doubt see from the photos is a pale blue with a pretty sparkly finish. The insertable part is about three inches long and is pretty wide, but if you’re already strongly aroused or have some water-based lubrication on hand, you won’t have any problems. It runs on two AA batteries, which are more than enough to create some very intense vibrations in the large bullet-style vibrator that is encased inside the toy. The vibrations clearly come through in both the g-spot stimulator and clitoral stimulator portions of the toy, and the intensity is easily controlled using a rectangular controller that is attached via a long cord to the toy itself.

My thoughts: I was very excited about this toy, as the angle of the g-spot stimulator in relation to the clitoral stimulator seemed like it would be a perfect fit (no pun intended) for myself and my highly-positioned clitoris (an issue that does sometimes interfere with my ability to get appropriate contact with dual-stimulation toys such as these). And for the most part, I wasn’t disappointed. The G-Spot Jewel was able to come into contact with my clit, though I did need to angle the toy up a bit higher in order to get the full-on contact that I need in order to have an orgasm. As far as the vibrations, they were quite strong on both my clit and my g-spot, although the g-spot vibrations were more “muted”, presumably due to the thick shaft of the toy encasing the bullet. Speaking of which, the shaft is three inches in length and one and a half inches at its widest point, which is wider than some other g-spot toys, but let me tell you, the extra girth is well worth it! There’s no chance of missing your g-spot, and the “fullness” that the Jewel provides definitely enhances the experience. I’m not a size queen, but I definitely enjoyed the fact that the Jewel is bigger than other g-spot toys I’ve tried in the past.

Bottom line? The G-Spot Jewel is definitely going into my “favorites” collection, though I’ll probably only use it for solo play, since there’d be no place for Dan if I used it during sex. ;)

I would love to try the Couple’s Pleasure Kit (http://www.mypleasure.com/Sex-Toy-Couples-Pleasure-Kit.asp). My husband and I rarely get any time alone with 4 kids (and #5 on the way!) running around. This kit looks like it provides everything for a “fun night” with your significant other. The only downside of this kit would be that #6 might end up on the way if we had a little too much fun!! :c)

The Tor pleasure ring has always caught my eye since it’s rechargeable and does not look like anything in particular (rabbit, beaver etc.). However, at $110 it’s awfully expensive!!

I’ve been thinking of getting a Hitachi Magic Wand, but I would need the variable speed control like on the Fairy mini wand. Increased vibration is vital for my build up to orgasm! :D
