I have something to share. It’s both a confession and a dirty little secret. You ready for it? Here it is: you can be too fat for lingerie. I don’t care what the lingerie companies say. There does come a point where you’re just a little too ample and voluptuous for lingerie, at least of the incredibly sexy and sensual variety, anyway.
I have very fond and strong memories of Dan purchasing a sexy little black teddy for me on one of the occasions when I was visiting him in Pittsburgh. This goes back to 2001, but even at that point I was around 250 lbs. The black teddy came from Lane Bryant, and was a size 26/28. Between 2001 and 2009 I managed to put on almost another hundred pounds (my highest weight was 330 lbs.); by 2004 I was around 300 lbs. and never really got back down below that number. So I kissed lingerie goodbye. There just wasn’t anything in a large enough size that appealed to me. I wanted sexy nighties and babydolls and bustiers and corsets, not spaghetti-strap nightgowns with lace added to the edges.
But now, at a “mere” 206.8 lbs. (and yes, I do use the term mere; it seems appropriate given that I have lost 125 lbs.!), the world of lingerie has once again opened its sexy, suggestive doors to me. A few weeks ago a representative from Yandy.com contacted me to see if I would be interested in trying out some of their lingerie, and of course I said yes!
Yandy.com carries regular lingerie, as well as an awesome, true-to-size collection of plus size lingerie! Everything on the website is well organized, and all of the models and pictures of lingerie are tasteful and artfully displayed. I picked out the Plus Size Off Shoulder Lace Babydoll, which is a sexy, see-through, semi sheer coral babydoll with criss-cross straps across the cleavage area; and the Plus Size Plum Bustier And G String, which is a sexy-as-hell bustier/corset in a gorgeous shade of plum. As soon as I laid eyes on it I knew I had to have it.
Yandy.com shipped both pieces of lingerie (plus matching plum stockings for the bustier!) right away — I had everything two days later! The items were carefully wrapped and package; the bustier even came in its own tulle drawstring bag. Tags were present on the lingerie (I mention this because in the past I have heard of people receiving lingerie with no tags or any indication that the stuff was brand new!), and both pieces looked as gorgeous and rawrtastic as they did on the website and on the models.
I have to admit, I couldn’t wait to try on the lingerie. In fact, I did wear the babydoll that very day. The results? Let’s just say Dan and I started off our afternoon with a bang. ;) As I mentioned, Yandy’s lingerie runs true-to-size, and the coral-colored babydoll fit perfectly. It clung in all the right places, though in retrospect I think for once I had not quite enough boobage for the chest area! But the matching slit-crotch panties that came along with the babydoll were an adequate distraction!
The plum bustier has my undying allegiance, however. There’s just something about a snug-fitting bustier and the resulting enhanced cleavage and curves it promotes. It lifts, tucks, enhances, accentuates, etc. The plum bustier with matching g-string made me feel incredibly sexy, which is no small feat! It’s also VERY well made, complete with metal hooks and garter straps (I’ve seen a lot of bustiers and corsets whose hooks and garter straps are made out of plastic). The matching stockings were a perfect fit and just the right color. The entire outfit? Amazing. Fabulous. Instant-lust-inducing. ♥

I love Yandy.com … I go there for my Halloween costumes all the time. It feels amazing losing weight doesn’t it? I lost 20 lbs and now fit into a Size 4 and my self confidents went to the roof … lol … plus having more guy attention does help too
I know this is YOUR blog and as it is, you are entitled to YOUR opinion but I think you have to be careful. While you may opine that one can be too fat for lingerie that you like, there are certainly markets that cater to lingerie for women sized out of even Lane Bryant. I guess sexy is a state of mind and while some women might not feel comfortable at 300 lbs in stretch lycra, that doesn’t mean all women subscribe to that philosophy. Congrats on your weight-loss, you look great!
Funny that you should write this on a day I go hunting for some sexy costumes. It’s easy to find a site that has these products but it’s hard to find one I trust, and places here sell the exact same ones for $110+!!!

As a plus sized woman myself, I do have a hard time seeing plus size women in certain types of lingerie. It’s not that they cannot look sexy in them, some women just choose the most unflattering pieces for their collection.
With that said, I love the two pieces you chose. Very cute!
