My neighbor’s brother replaced my car’s alternator belt on Tuesday evening, and my car started up perfectly after he did. Yesterday I took it out for an eight mile drive, and then a ten mile one, and it ran just fine, so when it refused to start up this morning, I was pretty damn surprised. At the time I was in a hurry to get Alyssa and Ryan to their second-to-last-day of VBS, so I just hurriedly transferred the kids and I to Dan’s car, and texted him to let him know what was going on.
As it turns out, my car needed a new battery. When I got home this afternoon, I got absolutely NOTHING when I tried to start it up. This morning lights and dashboard indicators came on. This afternoon? Not a single indicator. Hell, the power locks weren’t even working. And of course I had all four windows opened about three inches, and of course it rained cats and dogs for a brief amount of time later this afternoon, and there wasn’t a single damn thing I could do about it.
But it’s all good, because Dan and I picked up a battery this evening ($70, which isn’t bad, seeing as how a lot of plus women swimwear costs that and more!), he put it in, and my car is working just fine again. ♥
I love having wheels!

Your car is getting older and it’s holding up amazingly well actually. It’s been raining here for like two weeks, cats and dogs variety as well.
