A few weeks ago Smart and Sexy Lingerie contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing their lingerie. Hello? I’m a woman. Just as importantly, I am a super-busy mother and someone who recently lost over one hundred pounds. Of course I said yes! The first thing I did was visit their website to find out my size. There’s a handy size chart on the front page, with every listed size being clickable so that you can filter search results so that only items in those size are shown. There’s also the Find Your Perfect Fit page, which I immediately went to, as it seems like I wear a few different sizes depending on the manufacturer and type of clothing.
In this case, for bras I needed a 40D, and for lingerie I needed the non-existent larger-than-an-XL-but-smaller-than-a-2X. Since I’m continually losing weight, I opted for the smaller size, since my MO is being able to “ingrow” things (that’s the reverse of outgrow, right?). Anyway, I passed along my sizes, and about two weeks later the following gorgeous pieces arrived:
Anyone who knows me knows that my favorite color combination is black, white and hot pink. Whether the company knew this when they picked out the bra and lingerie knew this, or just guessed, or it was just by chance, I don’t know, but whichever the case, I was quite happy with the selection! Now granted, I knew I wouldn’t look anything like the gorgeous models do, but every girl needs some sexy lingerie. Sexy bras are also a must. Even on my down, tedious, crappy days, knowing I’m wearing a sexy bra is an instant pick-me-up. And I know that Dan enjoys knowing I have a delightful surprise or two beneath my clothes.
The big dot black/white lightly lined plunge bra comes with a matching thong, which, to be honest, isn’t my cup of tea. But then again, I’ve never been much of a butt floss kind of girl. So the thong has sat unused in my drawer. But the bra? I love it. It’s a new favorite of mine. At first glance and feel it seemed like it wasn’t up to the task of helping me to defy gravity with the girls, but from the moment I first put it on I couldn’t believe how comfortable it was. It provides great support and “oomph” without being overly confining. The material is lightweight and comfortable, and the straps and band are easy to adjust.
Then there’s the passion pink underwire chemise. Rawr. Hot pink is such a hot color. The fit of this lingerie is incredibly flattering. The one I have is slightly different than what it shown in the picture. Mine features the same colors and style, but the lingerie separates beneath the cleavage, with loose, subtle ruffling on either side. I really like the elastic cupping beneath each breast — I really thought that with no underwires or lacing I’d have some major saggage going on, but it was quite the opposite! Ample lift and cleavage. ;)
I really like what I’ve tried from Smart and Sexy Lingerie. Hot colors, great styles, and the readily available Shop-By-Size feature makes browsing the website quick and easy. Based on my experience with product selection, speed of shipping and the quality and fit of products, I’d highly recommend them to any woman looking for lingerie, sleepwear, bras, panties, and other intimate apparel.
