I recently had my pick of several of ProFlowers‘s many green plants for a product review. ProFlowers has flowers, obviously, as well as fruit baskets, teddy bears, spa and gift baskets, and other gift-appropriate items, but I’ve been wanting a plant for a while, so I took advantage of this opportunity to get one. ProFlowers had several Bonsai trees, but I opted for the Gardenia Bonsai, simply because I like flowers, and what’s better than a miniature flowering tree that I can keep in my kitchen?
So, why a Bonsai? First and foremost, it’s a plant I can keep indoors. Just like I don’t like to cook (but do it because I have to, just like I do laundry, clean toilets, scoop cat litter and mop my kitchen floor because I have to), I don’t like to garden, but I do like pretty and unique plants. Secondly, they’re relatively… durable. I’m not going to maul a Bonsai tree, obviously, but between the kids and the cats, the tree definitely won’t have the opportunity to collect dust! And third, Bonsai trees are easy to take care of. Sunlight, humidity (on the windowsill above my kitchen sink should provide plenty of both), water every 2-3 days, and re-potting every 4-5 years — how much easier can it get?
I had a great experience with ProFlowers. Their website is exceptionally well organized, so it was easy to browse through categories and sort results to find exactly what I was looking for. The photos were high quality, and an accurate representation of the products themselves, and the descriptions were detailed, so I had no questions or hesitations about product selection. The Bonsai Tree arrived within a matter of days, and it was carefully secured and package in a sturdy cardboard box that was delivered by UPS. A handy “Live Plant” sticker was affixed to the top of the box, so I knew right away what the contents were and where they came from. A pamphlet came along with the Bonsai Tree, and it contained everything I needed to know about setting up and caring for the tree.
After this experience, I would definitely shop at ProFlowers. And I’d definitely get another Bonsai Tree! As it is, Dan and I are already planning on having a few on hand for Christmas presents.

That is pretty awesome. I’ve seen a few things on there so far that I want! Will definitely be ordering from this site. Thanks for the review.
