Bring on the roller coasters!

This time tomorrow morning I will hopefully be at the entrance of the amusement park Dan, myself, and his two sisters are going to. ♥ As I mentioned before, I haven’t comfortably ridden an amusement park ride (other than the ferris wheel or merry-go-round) in over a decade. That’s a long time to be horribly overweight and unhappy.

I catch my reflection in a mirror or glassy surface sometimes and just can’t believe how far I’ve come. I especially love the difference between Very Very Fat Jenn and Fat Jenn:

Once I reach 185 lbs. — 18 lbs. less than I am now — I’ll no longer be considered obese. Instead, I’ll simply be overweight. That right there blows my mind. What also blows my mind is the knowledge that once I reach 165 lbs., I can officially say I have lost half of myself. Whoo!

So anyway. Tomorrow we’re getting up early, as the amusement park is about an hour and fifteen minutes from here and we want to stop somewhere for breakfast, so last night I deliberately stayed up late (and worked on my new layout!) so that I’d be seriously tired when I got up this morning at 7:30am. I’m on my typical go-go-go schedule, so by 9:00pm tonight, when I’ll be getting home with the kids after picking them up from VBS, I’ll be more than ready for bed!

I’ve also been fitting in some extra organizing and cleaning into my go-go-go schedule this week, as Ryan’s fourth birthday party (four! My baby is turning FOUR!) is this Sunday, and Danielle and Matt are coming down on Friday. Tomorrow is going to be hella fun, but come Thursday I’m going to be dragging, and it’s right back to my normal work day. So my smart plan was/is to clean yesterday and today, so that come Thursday, all I need to do besides work is run out to the party store (for party supplies), Target (for a few household essentials) and the grocery store. Smart Jenn!

Congratulations on your weight loss so far :D You’ve come such a long way and worked so hard and it shows! And wow, is he really turning 4 already?? Because I totally remember your blog when he was *born* so, erm, wow… (and wow, I’ve been following your blog for ages). What kind of theme is his party having this year?

  2. I think you look like a completely diff person, Jenn. You are looking all sorts of awesome and you can TOTALLY tell the diff. Keep it up!!!

  3. Jenn , you are actually so inspiring so so many people. Many people that I know just set goals, but never attempt to reach them because they turn out to be harder than the thought. Congratulations and I hope you can achieve the weight that you would like to have! Your effort really shows and you have come such a long way!
    Wow! He’s turning 4 ! That’s huge :D
Well, hope you get everything done and you all have a good time at his party :)

  4. How far you’ve come is very inspiring, and I thought you should know that. Keep up the inspiration! : ) LOVE the new layout, by the way. It rocks.

  5. congrats on the weight loss. it must be an amazing feeling. one day, soon i hope, i will start to feel the same way :)

ps: i’m having a really hard time reading the font of the blog and the site. i checked it in firefox and it looks the same as it does in safari.

  6. It’s amazing looking at your before and after picture. You’re a total different person and I know that has to feel amazing. You have come so far. You honestly don’t look like you weight 200lbs at all from your after picture. You look really small.

Anyway, hope the amusement park is fantastic, I’m sure you will have an amazing time.

Jenn, in that mirror picture of you, you don’t even LOOK 200 lbs. Your legs are so slim! I’m trying to think of something not corny to say, but YOU GO GIRL, and rock those shorts!

  8. You look great! And you should flaunt it. You’ve come so far and you deserve to have a great time at the amusement park. Love the new theme btw!

Hi Jenn :) It’s been about a million years since I’ve commented on your blog – so long you might not even remember me! Formerly known as Kendurah, and a few other names.. I’ve long stopped blogging, but still drop around all the old blogs I used to read!

I just have to say you’re looking absolutely gorgeous! You’ve lost an amazing amount of weight, and it’s inspiring me to do so once I have had my baby (due in three weeks)!

    Take care :)

  10. Congrats on your weight loss! I’m so jealous that you are going to an amusement park. And I’m happy for you that you can really enjoy it this time. Congrats again and have tons of fun!
