As I’m rushing around like a madwoman, getting ready for the trip to the office I need to make on Thursday, and then next Thursday’s trip to Philadelphia and from there to New York for BlogHer ’10, I keep going over car-related things in my mind. Is my car going to get its act together and not break down on me and leave me stranded in New Jersey? Do I have a full tank of gas? Are the tires properly inflated? Do I need to top off the windshield washer fluid? Am I due for another oil change? Even if I’m not, should I get one anyway, since I’m traveling so far and haven’t had an oil change since April? Oh snap, did I pay this month’s car insurance payment?
The answers? IT BETTER NOT, yes, not sure (Dan is going to check tonight, hopefully), yes, no but I’ll probably get one anyway, and yes. We have a decent auto insurance policy that covers both of our vehicles (comprehensive, obviously, since the Hyundai isn’t paid off yet, and even if it was it’s still nice to have coverage for your own vehicles) and us, and even with my 2005 accident (I love how accidents that aren’t your fault are still held against you) and Dan’s numerous speeding tickets (three in 2009, IIRC), it’s still not outrageous. How did I luck out to get a good policy? I shopped online. Seriously, I know I sound like a commercial here, but when it comes to finding cheap auto insurance, the best place to do so is online, where you can check out numerous websites, do quote comparisons amongst those sites, or even use one of those cheap auto insurance comparison sites that provides you with quotes and side-by-side comparisons all on one page.
I’m happy with my current auto insurance policy, but I did check out cheap-autoinsurance.com, and they do make it easy to see just who is providing auto insurance in your area, and what kind of discounts and features you can expect to receive through those providers. If you’re looking for a new auto insurance, or simply want to test the waters and see what else is out there, cheap out cheap-autoinsurance.com.
