You’re a mom, but you’re still you.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ashworth College. All opinions are 100% mine.

If there’s one thing I feel strongly about, it’s that parents should not lose their identities simply because they have children. If there’s one thing that makes me cringe, it’s a woman who is so consumed by her role as a mother and her child that she loses sight of who she is. I come across it online all of the time — bloggers with the alias and email address “lucysmommy” or “mamatobobby”, blogs devoted to nothing but raising their child and all of the things they’re child says and does, etc. These same bloggers whine and wail about not having any time to do anything, since, you know, having a single baby takes up every last moment of your day.

Obviously, you can see that I disagree with this practice. And I do. I’m not going to tell you what to do with your life, but I will openly disagree with your choice to give up being anything other than a mother. Newsflash: you’re a mother, but you’re also a woman, you are also a person. Take some time for yourself, and don’t lose sight of who you are and what you enjoy doing just because you have a child (or two or three or four).

With that said, many women find themselves in a position of having a child, and thus not really having the time to complete college and earn a degree like people without children are able to do. The good news is, you don’t have to give up your dream of having that education. Earn it online instead! An Online degree is a perfect solution for busy moms, and even women — and men — who are too busy with jobs and careers to fit a normal college schedule into their lives.

Ashworth College is an online university that provides many online degree options for its students. Choose from 100+ career diplomas, including associates degree, bachelor degree, human resources, marketing, early childhood education, and a variety of special degree and certification programs.

Ashworth College offers self-paced courses, so you can work your degree earning schedule into your existing one — not the other way around. You can work at your pace from the comfort of your own home, and with zero-interest financing, monthly payment plans, and all book and course materials being included in the tuition, you’ll definitely be able to get started on earning the education you have dreamed of.
