August 7th, 2010 (Day 3)
9:30am – We “slept in”, and it felt absolutely glorious to be running on sixish hours of sleep instead of threeish. We skipped breakfast, but arrived after for some socializing and mingling.
10:45am – We enjoyed the Where’s the Line or the Lie: Storytelling, Memoir and Poetic License panel, The Bloggess was a part of; and popped into a few other panels as well to listen in on speakers and connect with bloggers afterward.
12:15am – Super quick lunch, where we just randomly said hi to people and sat down at a table that was already occupied because we couldn’t find an unoccupied one. We made a quick stop in the second swag hall, where I ran into Sheena, my lucky boss won an iPod Nano, and I got a picture with a My Little Pony cardboard cut-out. On our way out we ran into The Pioneer Woman, which was a really freakin’ cool moment. She posed for a picture with us and took our business cards, yay!
2:00pm – We head to a local overpriced grocery store, where we picked up all sorts of food and goodies for our upcoming party.
4:00pm – We get back to the hotel suite and begin setting up the food. We’re SO thankful we spent the four hours the night prior setting up the suite, moving stuff around, decorating, etc., because there’s no way we would have had time to do it now.
6:00pm – Guests start arriving!
8:30pm – We’re exhausted. By our estimates, the number of people in the photos we took and the business cards we we received, 200+ people showed up, and at any given time we had at least 100 packed into our hotel suite. We had dildo decorating, condom jewelry making, and plenty of cupcakes, cheese, sliced fruits, alcoholic drinks, sodas and bottled water, and just a GREAT atmosphere for partying. It was a total hit. The women loved the swag, and the demos, and hey, only one demo product was stolen this time around!
9:00pm – We drag ourselves over to The Bloggess’s party at a local upscale bar, and then we drag ourselves back over to the Hilton for Sparklecorn, which is a huge, “elite”, RSVP-only party that is all about glitter and unicorns. If you know me and my love for glitter, you’ll know I was right at home. I had three sparkly headbands, sparkly and shimmery shadow and lip gloss, a shimmery silver tank (and a black shrug), a brightly colored belt, sparkly silver nail polish on my toes (hot pink and lime green on my fingernails), and loose silver glitter all over my hair and neck. The party was loud, crazy, and definitely sparkly with all of the glitter and hundreds of glow bracelets and necklaces to make things even brighter. And this unicorn cake? It was even more amazing in person!
11:30pm – After some brief mingling outside of Sparklecorn, we drag ourselves back to the hotel. We tip William, the awesome doorman, with a bag stuffed with swag and candy, as he was the only employee of The Warwick, with the exception of the housekeeping, who treated us decently, pose for a photo, and then head in.
4:00am – After several hours spent cleaning, organizing swag and packing, we crash. Hard.

Dildo decorating?! That sounds like crazy fun. Haha.
