9:15am – We wake up, not because our alarm woke us up, but because a few people came by to collect the decorated dildos they left behind the night before (hey Techy Dad, The Angel Forever, and Cutest Kid Ever? I’m so sorry you had to witness me in my pajamas and sans makeup and brushed hair!)
10:15am – After 45 minutes of last minute packing and doing some general packing of the supplies left in the rest of the hotel suite, I hop into the shower.
11:00am – Two guys from the company arrive to pick up stuff.
12:00pm – My boss and I check out, deal with the rude front desk staff one more time, then lug out our heavy and numerous bags of luggage since the hotel didn’t bother to call for a bellhop to do it for us. We catch a taxi, and we’re on our way to Penn Station.
12:30pm – Tickets are purchased, my boss and I say goodbye to one another (she took a train directly back to Philly, while I opted for a direct one to my destination), and I find a spot to stand with all of my stuff.
1:05pm – I board my train, put a woman who didn’t want to move for a kid with a broken leg in her bitchy little place (she was sitting in the handicap section of a half-empty car, WTH?), then put on headphones, pull out my netbook, and begin the tedious process of processing several hundred photos.
4:10pm – Train station, oh glorious train station! I get off the train, look around for Dan and the kids, figure they’re running late, and head for the elevator.
4:15pm – Cliche and straight-out-of-a-movie reunification with Dan, Alyssa and Ryan — you know the type: woman drops her bags and holds out her arms as her kids come flying to her; she then throws herself at her man and wraps herself all around him.
4:45pm – Too tired to think about cooking dinner or even whipping up a protein shake, so we stop at Ruby Tuesday’s for dinner.
6:00pm – Home, oh glorious home! Leah falls all over herself in her haste to get to me (according to Dan, she moped for the entire duration of my absence. The only time she left her open crate is when she went outside to go to the bathroom, and as soon as she came in she would immediately check throughout the house for me, then return to her Den of Sulkage).
11:00pm – Bed. Glorious bed. ♥
