The last few days have been absolutely crazy. I completely own up to not doing nearly enough on Monday. Yesterday wasn’t much better, though in my defense, sometime between Monday morning and Tuesday morning my hoarseness blossomed into a fever, major coughing fits and spasms, and just a general sense of, “Wow, I feel like shit”. Some of my symptoms, particularly the coughing spasms and chest tightness, had me worried that I somehow came down with pneumonia again, so I went to see my doctor this morning. The verdict? Bronchitis. Pneumonia is apparently a possibility, but their x-ray tech was out for the day, and I didn’t want to go over to the hospital for a stupid x-ray, so I’ll go back for that in a few days if the meds I was prescribed don’t clear things up. Just how do I land bronchitis in August? God only knows. I suspect being run down and chronically sleep-deprived for the past several weeks have something to do with it. Oops. All I know is that I am really tired of sounding like this:
In another news, I am seriously swamped with work. I have 4.5 days of work I missed due to being at BlogHer, plus tons of excess work generated by being at BlogHer, and now the current stuff. Dieeeeeeee. On the bright side? OT has been approved, so I’ll be doing a happy dance next Thursday morning.
Also? Several products for review should be showing up in the mail over the course of the next week or so, so that also makes me want to do a happy dance. Whee!
And?! I won a Lunapads Starter Kit from Saving Money Plan. I’ve been wanting to make the switch to reusable pads, for those times when I just can’t tolerate the idea of tampons, but I held off until a payday since getting started is, let’s face it, pricey (but worth it, just as the investment into cloth diapers is worth it!). So to hear that I won Claire’s giveaway? Happy news indeed! *dance dance dance* Now I’m just hoping they arrive in time for the start of my next period, which should be around the 20th or so.
And finally… don’t tell Dan, but I scored a Crumpler 8 Million Dollar Home for super duper cheap off of eBay! Used just three times! Ahh! Finally, I can start carting around all of my camera gear again! *dance dance dance*

I hope you feel better soon! I love your blogs!

Yay for winning the giveaways. That’s great.
You may have gotten bronchitis from being around so many people during BlogHer. Anytime you’re around a new group of people, you’re more likely to be exposed to new germs. Being sleep deprived + the germs leads to bronchitis, especially if you’re prone to upper respiratory issues.
Hope your bout with bronchitis is better than mine. I will never forget that. I have double lung infection, bronchitis, and swollen lymphnodes all at once one year. IT SUCKED> get better soon
I definitely agree with Janet.
Bronchitis is never fun. I get it several times a year, and it’s not fun at all. I get really bad, wheezy, etc. Last time I had it, I had a lot of trouble breathing, almost thought I’d have to get an inhaler – and I’m not even asthmatic. The vaporizer was my best friend.
Oh boy, hope you start feeling better soon. Bronchitis sucks. Congrats on your winnings!
Wow, you’re sick again…color me surprised. /sarcasm
@Toula: And you’re here again grasping at straws. Color me surprised!
@chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don’t have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn’t write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
