Six months ago I wouldn’t have dreamed of celebrating the end of the week, because as a freelancer I didn’t really distinguish weekdays from weekends, except to view weekdays as paydays and weekends as Hurry Up And Finish This Project So You’ll Get Paid On Monday days. Now? I’m all about the Fridays, baby. Only my direct deposit hits on Thursdays, which makes me want to celebrate (*cough*and slack*cough*) prematurely.
But THIS Friday is one I’m especially excited about. It has been a LONG week. I worked all of last week, put in 18+ hour days/nights at BlogHer for four days in a row, then threw myself right back into work as of Monday morning, despite coming down with bronchitis (no, I’m not feeling or sounding any better, but thank you for asking). And I’m running into OT this week, what with four days worth of work to catch up on, the new BlogHer-generated work to stay on top of, and the new stuff coming in. Oyyyyyyyyyy.
So yeah, Friday? I ♥ you.
P.S. I’m also doing the “It’s about freakin’ time!” dance: it has been court-ordered that my brothers be returned home no later than August 26th, 2010.

Yay about your brothers. I know you mentioned your youngest brother was in a bad family… I’m glad he can go back to your mom’s where there still are other issues, but love and compassion will never be one of the issues. I’m so happy for you guys!
