I’ve been coveting Crumpler bags since someone first mentioned them on a forum a few years ago. Only recently did it occur to me — as I unsuccessfully tried to cram five lenses, a Lensbaby, two lens-like filters, a slew of little attachments and my DSLR itself (with a lens and external flash attached) — that I needed something bigger than the little Nikon bag that came along with my previous camera, the Nikon D40, since I had purchased it in a kit (I sold the body in October of ’07 and then purchased the D40x body a few weeks later).
But I’m cheap, and am trying to be a little more resourceful with shopping, particularly for pricier items. Translation? My desperation led me to eBay, which led me to a listing for a Crumpler 8 Million Dollar Home that had been used just three times. It’s brown with a blue interior and orange accents/trim. Best of all? The price. With shipping it was just $100 — for a mint condition bag! Sa-weet!

(Best of all, since I do use my camera for work/freelancing things, and I use my netbook — which there is room inside the Crumpler to transport — for work/freelancing things, I plan on seeing about writing this baby off come tax return season!)

it’s cute
