There are more options now than than ever before for individuals who are struggling with substance or alcohol abuse. I’ve seen firsthand how addiction to drugs and alcohol can ruin both individuals and families. In fact, Dan’s mother is the first person who comes to mind. Her choice to become addicted to drugs and alcohol and refuse any kind of help has unfortunately ruined her life. We have all lost touch with her, and we saw her a year ago only because her brother had died and she came to the funeral.
If you or someone you know is dealing with alcoholism, try to get help. There are options for Sober Living. It isn’t easy, and it’s going to take a lifelong commitment, but if you want it badly enough, it can be done.
