I’ve been antsy for Christmas since last spring, since I started our Christmas shopping stupidly (yet smartly) early. Now that Halloween is over and I’m spotting Christmas-oriented items in stores, I can’t help but squeal in excitement. Christmas! Ahh! Seriously, Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I’m excited to think that we’ll be decorating exactly one month from today. ;) Last year we picked up a bunch of colored lights and ornaments and other decor on clearance, so we’re going to have a cheap and kick-ass look for Christmas this year. ♥
I’ve been debating about calling my doctor and making an appointment. I have a collection of odd symptoms that don’t all seem to go together. These all started last week — between Tuesday and now:
- itchiness on my chest, on the right side, below my collarbone (yet there’s no rash or blisters or any type of visible sign of a rash)
- random itchiness on my elbows… and in a few other areas…
- chest tightness/short of breath
- feverishness
- dry cough, rattliness in chest and throat
- starting today: lower abdominal pain, similar to what I had with my gallbladder, but a little more “dull” and obviously not originating from my gallbladder
Someone call House. Heh.

Yeah, those are the moments I’d go and call the doctor if I were you. They’re just too random to not have something to do with each other.
All I could tell you is that when I read #3 on your list of symptoms I started to get worried…time to call the doc…never good to have chest/breathing issues. Maybe side effect of any meds u on, especially the itchiness, but with all u been thru I would call the doc.
Are you still taking percocets? The itchiness could be an opiate itch at least.
I’m not an expert by any means, but I m studying to go into the medical field and your symptoms could easily be and most likely are, nothing more than an allergic reaction to something, but they could also be something really serious too, so please make a drs. appt. ASAP and please talk to him about his thoughts on having a blood cell count done. 99% it’s minor allergies to something, but please don’t wait it out just in case it’s something more serious.
