I’m one of those weird people that likes to occasionally rearrange furniture. We have a few options for arranging the furniture in our living room, but we’re hindered by our current TV stand, which is rather long. I really like the look of corner TV stands, but I’m up in the air about actually purchasing one, because that leaves you locked into using corners only. My brother-in-law has a narrower, taller TV stand that holds his massive 55″ television, a receiver, speakers and DVDs without taking up the sheer width that our TV stand does. It’s similar to this:
I’m all about going up instead of out wherever possible (my as-tall-as-me corner computer tower is testament to that!), so I think I may be trying to talk Dan into a new TV stand in the coming months. Our current TV is 32″, but we’re hoping to upgrade to a 50″+ in the next year or so, so we’ll need to make sure to pick out a TV stand that can accommodate that. Also, we have a receiver/DVD player, Comcast DVR box, three speakers, a PS3 and a Wii that a TV stand must also have room for. Here’s to hoping we can find something that’ll work, and appeal to our style and budget!

Just have the PS3! Its a dvd and blueray player! Nice site by the way
I love your christmas layout :D it’s really cute!!!!!
I hope you can find a good TV stand soon…. it’s annoying when your hindered in rearranging due to a big piece of furniture
I really like the TV stand you have pictured here. I am slowly but surely filling my living room with matching furniture, but I’m lucky because my dad has picked up woodworking in recent years and re-did his entire basement and made it into a bar/place for him and his friends to hang out on holidays. Last year for Christmas he presented me with a coffee table and an end table. This year we’re going for a DVD/video game cabinet with doors that matches the tables and next year we’re going for a TV stand! My refusal to purchase these items have made it very easy to just wait for the next Christmas.
By the way, you mentioned you have a PS3! I would take Scott’s advice up there and get rid of the DVD player or move it to another room and use the PS3 as your DVD/Blueray player.
