With Valentine’s Day just a few weeks away, now couldn’t be a better time for some new lingerie! And since I’m at the lowest weight I have been in a good thirteen years, I was more than happy to oblige when Yandy contacted me with an offer of lingerie for review. I’ve worked with Yandy before (see the review I wrote last summer: Yandy lingerie), and I was pleased with the quality and sizing of their lingerie.
Even though I’m smaller now than I was last summer (by about 35 lbs), I still struggle to choose lingerie that accentuates the good and covers up the bad. After browsing through Yandy’s selection of plus size lingerie!), I ultimately chose the Plus Size Stretch Satin and Lycra Babydoll.
As you can see from the photos, the babydoll is a gorgeous shade of bright pink with black accents (black ribbons & bows) and a lovely row of pink frill at the bottom. The bodice contains underwires, which provides nice support and lift. The straps are adjustable, too, so even the saggiest-bosomed among us will have plenty of lift and in-your-face cleavage. Included with the babydoll are semi-sheer black thigh-highs; these attach to the babydoll via included straps that are sewn into the bottom of the babydoll itself.
Size-wise, the babydoll was a little too small in the bodice and a little too big in the body. Go figure. But no two womens’ bodies are the same, and overall Yandy’s lingerie fits and flatters better than any other brand I’ve tried. And trust me, when Dan came home from work to me dressed in that and a bedroom swathed in candlelight, he didn’t notice the too-small bodice or excess fabric around the waist and hips. Things got so heated, in fact, that I almost set the matching hot pink panties on fire when they were flung across the room. Oops.
