Dan is currently sitting next to me on the sofa with a ziploc bag full of cold water and ice cubes between his legs. I have to admit, even with him being off of his feet for the majority of the time since he had the surgery on Wednesday morning, I’m a little surprised at the amount of swelling… and the bruising! Icky dark purple and black bruises have no place on boy parts. Just sayin’. I’ve been doing my best to keep him as comfortable as possible, making him meals, bringing him drinks, snacks, ice packs, medicine, etc., and keeping him company. But he’s getting bored. Yes, bored. Despite hundreds of TV channels, hundreds of movies, the Playstation 3, his laptop, his cellphone, his books… he’s bored. And I’ve discovered that when he gets bored, he gets crabby. :confused:
But overall, life has been going smoothly in the Household of Jenn & Co. Although we made three separate trips to Target today within an eight hour span, which is pretty damn ridiculous.
I’m happy the weekend is here. :D
That’s really odd. My husband was up and about the next day. He had some bruising, but very little swelling. He was tender there for a couple days but literally had it done Friday, rested Saturday, worked around the house Sunday and back to work Monday. Hope your DH mends soon!!
Ouch, I can only imagine. Those areas are so sensitive as it is. Eeek.
