I feel so good when I’m able to use a coupon or special promo to get a good deal on my purchase, whether the coupon/promo is for my entire purchase or just for an individual product. A few weeks ago, for instance, I walked into a Sephora and between a coupon and a card for this month being my birthday, I spent just $17 and got a mascara, two eye shadows and a bottle of cake-scented body wash. That’s almost as good as those cash back cards that give you points or even money for every X amount of dollars you spend.
Unfortunately, since Dan and I don’t have any actual credit cards (one of the major credit faux pas we’ve refused to commit, heh), we don’t get cash back from purchases. But we do use coupons, and I do often use my Target debit card, in order to knock a flat percentage or a few dollars off of my everyday purchases. Now I just need to combine coupons and sales flyers and grocery store specials to acquire some Extreme Couponing worthy savings!

I’ve just started using cashback websites, because I do so much online purchasing (this is what happens when you live in the boonies – even Target is 30 minutes away). I got 6% back on a Nike purchase, 4% on a Victoria’s Secret Purchase, and 6% on a Target purchase. Doesn’t seem like a lot, but it adds up!
