I always stumble a bit when people or forms ask me what I do for a living. My initial response is, “I work at home”, or if I’m pressed a little further, “I’m self-employed”, but to go into detail? To give it a label? I think internet marketing sums it up best. Because when you think about it, that’s what I do. The blog posts, the article writing, the link building, the coordinated posts and reviews and other online arrangements — it’s all about internet marketing.
But there are days where it blows my mind to consider that what was once a small personal blog has evolved to so much more — other blogs, social media presence, great connections with other bloggers and marketers. And that I’ve actually accomplished the one thing my grandmother always teased me about — making money by “spending so much time at the computer”. I wish she and my grandfather were here today to see how far I’ve come. But melancholy thoughts aside, I’m very happy with where I’m at. And I still love to blog — and I always will!
