On Monday I commented on one of Dan’s Facebook posts, unabashedly expressing my jealousy at the great time he and Brandy were having in Ocean City, MD. They invited me to join them on Tuesday, and since 1) Dan had off (and is progressing in his healing well enough that he can mostly handle the kids) 2) the weather was gorgeous 3) I’ve been dying to meet Brandy for several years (especially since she’s less than an hour from me!) and had been wanting to meet Dan since he’s here for a few weeks, I said yes, and hit the road by 10:00am yesterday.
One gas station stop and three restroom stops later (I joke that I have a bladder the size of a pea, but sometimes I wonder if my bladder is smaller than normal…) and I was there! The trip down was long (three and a half hours due to all of the stops) and boring (I don’t have much patience for long car rides, especially if I’m the one doing the driving), but uneventful (other than my check engine light coming on – but it disappeared on the way home, yay!).
Needless to say, Brandy, Dan and I had a fabulous time. We hung out in their motel room, relaxed on the beach, played in the water, ogled a cute (but a little too slim for my liking – I like some meat on a guy’s bones!) lifeguard, did a little more frolicking, went swimming in the motel pool, chilled in the motel room some more, and then went to an amazing outdoor restaurant/bar called Seacrets. Seriously, if you’re ever in Ocean City, MD, you must check out Seacrets (just make sure you bring your ID or passport)!
Before I knew it 9:00pm had rolled around, and I realized I wouldn’t be home until after midnight. Blah. But because I made two stops to finish up some last minute work (yes, I am THAT much of a workaholic!) and grab a protein snack and perk up (driving while sleepy = baddddddddddddddddd), it was closer to 1:30am when I walked in the door.
Even though I’m tired today and I now have more sand in my car, I had a fabulous time. Brandy and Dan are even awesomer offline than they are online. Brandy is seriously adorable and so sweet and friendly; as is Dan. He’s also TALL – 6’5”, people! He’s like a big, cuddly teddy bear. And a total cutie! With an awesome (Australian) accent. I seriously cannot wait to hang out with them (and Britney and Krystal!) on August 14th at Hershey Park!!! ♥
First of all, I’m jealous! You guys look like you’ve had a blast, I haven’t seen the beach since I was in Vancouver. Also, you look amazing girl!

Absolutely had a ball meeting you Jenn! You’re such a great person and I had such an amazing time. Those photos came out terrific. I fucking love them! I especially love the one of Bran and I on the beach with the chick taking our picture! It looks way better than the photos we got from them hahah.
I hope we have as much fun at Hershey Park with you next Sunday! <3 I was a little sad when you had left. It felt like I had known you for my entire life.
