WordPress plugin for download: Progress Bar #NaBloPoMo

Since early 2007 I have been using Pablo’s Progress Bar plugin for WordPress. The plugin is a breeze to use, doesn’t rely on the oh-so-annoying1 widgets feature, and is free of the bells and whistles that complicate something that simple does not need to be complicated. You can see Progress Bar in action — logging my weight loss — both here and on That Fat Chick. Unfortunately, Pablo and his easy-to-use, does-exactly-what-it’s-supposed-to plugin have disappeared. Fortunately, since I am using the plugin currently, and per the author’s licensing rules I can redistribute it (which I have done numerous times over the past few years whenever I’ve received a request via email, heh), I’m hosting it here on Jenn.nu for anyone to download:

Download Progress Bar plugin for WordPress.

Simply upload to wp-content/themes/plugins, activate via the Plugins page, then visit Settings > Progress Bar to configure. To display the Progress Bar on your blog, add the following code to your preferred template file:

<?php irgProgressBar() ?>

Enjoy!

    Ooooh my god Jenn I LOVE you! I was trying to find a way to get your progress bar plugin on my blog for my weight loss, aaaages ago, but never found out how. Now I know! Yay! Tytyty!

  2. Nice! I like the widget feature, because you can download a widget to insert any html you want and having your stuff inserted into the sidebar makes it really easy to fiddle with them without having to wade through a sidebar file :P. It’s also nice when your developing a site for someone that doesn’t know WP =D
