The PMS monster

I am hardcore PMSing. One thing on my to-do list is to make an appointment with a gynecologist (I haven’t been seen by a gyno/OB since my six week postpartum check up in 2006, eek!). It’s been on my to-do list for a few months now, but with everything else going on — ongoing abdominal issues, Dan’s broken neck, my broken foot (yup, it’s still nice and broken, and just as hurty and painy, probably even more so from me walking on it without a cast for the first week and a half after surgery — only I didn’t notice the pain at the time from all of the painkillers I was hopped up on), surgery, etc. — I just haven’t gotten to it yet. I probably should pick up the phone today and call the office to make an appointment, even if I don’t schedule it until after Christmas. After all, nothing says Merry Christmas like a cold speculum1 and scratchy paper gowns!

My period should start any day now, which’ll be a relief because that means I’ll no longer be verbally ripping everyone around me into shreds and alternating between feeling numb and weepy, though in its place will be hardcore back, girly parts, and upper thigh pain, so that’s not much of a trade-off.

Now I’m off to do some work, and hopefully not kill anyone. ;)

  1. Why is this word not in Google Chrome’s dictionary?

  1. You know I find myself a lot more moody before my period and after my period which is kind of odd. I hope you feel better soon though! I can’t even imagine having a broken foot too. Ouch!
Jazmyn’s last blog entry: It’s almost Christmas!
