Trojan, the company that manufactures condoms, and now vibrators, was one of the companies that I met while I was at BlogHer ’12. And you know me – I’m never one to pass up a promising vibrator. ;) I came home with the Trojan Pulse, which is one of the three vibrators that Trojan has to offer (there’s also the Tri-Phoria, and the Twister). The Pulse, which is two different shades of purple, is a handheld, simplistic but delivers-upon-what-it-promises vibrator that provides direct, intense clitoral stimulation. It’s powered by just one AA battery, and offers 3 different patterns, and 3 speeds. The solid “on” pattern is my personal favorite, but the 3 pulsing patterns are a nice inclusion if you’re using this during foreplay, or just like to change things up a bit before going for the gold.
As far as vibrators go, the Pulse is fairly simplistic, but it gets the job done. The vibrations are strong enough to be felt, and while they’re not earth-shattering, on the highest setting the vibrations will definitely work for those of us chicks with harder-to-please clits. The exterior of the vibrator is made out of hard plastic and silicone. The silicone end is the end that delivers the vibrations, and obviously is the end you’ll want to use for clitoral stimulation. The silicone is a nice touch, as it’s not comfortable to mash hard plastic against your clitoris, whereas silicone, especially if it has been pre-lubricated with a few drops of water-based lubricant, can feel quite nice! The plastic and silicone design of the Pulse makes the toy easy to clean before and after use (though you’ll want to pay extra attention to the ringed area of the silicone and make sure that the little nooks and crannies have been thoroughly cleaned), and the push button operation is simple enough.
You can purchase the Trojan Pulse for $29.99 from trojanvibrations.com.
