I had the intention to fix up Jenn.nu’s new layout today, and launch it tonight. Instead, I watched Legally Blonde with Alyssa, and now I’m watching Confessions: Animal Hoarding. And I’m sleepy. Blah.
The weekend went by really, really fast. Amanda and Sophie came down yesterday, and shortly after they arrived Dan got back from his errands, at which point Amanda and I were like, “BAI!” and left him with four kids (Alyssa + Ryan + Sophie + neighbor kid = HAVE FUN DAN!) so we could go have some chick time. Translation? IKEA, ULTA, Five Below, Target, and a quick Starbucks run on the way home.
Much fun was had, besides Amanda trying to kill me with her car (twice!), pepperoni landing on her boobs and chocolate landing on the floor of her car (five second rule, right?), and some guy bitching about us for walking in a store (the horror, I know). We had yummy Swedish meatballs, she found the desk & home furniture stuff she was looking for, I found adorable wall lights for the kids (something I’ve been wanting to get for a while, since both kids are on top bunks and thus can’t exactly have a nightstand to stick a lamp on), we squealed over glittery awesomeness at ULTA, picked up some little trinkets for all three kids, and had 7 blissful kid-free hours to ourselves.
Today? Waffles, hair dye, and kid time, before Amanda had to head home. Oh, and a fashion show in which our respective 6.5 and 8 year old daughters look like teenage girls. GAH.

nonnabomOoooh, they really DO look like teenagers. Where’s little Alyssa?! Awww. ;_; I think I’ve mentioned my weirdly stalkerish habit of going through your Flickr stream and I was just looking at old pictures of Alyssa with her wild baby hair and big apple cheeks and baby Ryan and then I come here and look at their pictures (sans Ryan and his need for freedom!) and they’re all grown up and… how did that happen?!
