Gah.

09/25/07: UPDATE ON TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent:
I have noticed that this particular entry of mine is getting a lot of notice from people searching for TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent. After writing this entry (in August of 2004!), I did some research and found out that TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent is an automated transaction debited to an account that bounced a check. In my case, the TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent fee came from a company that handles checks at a store I accidentally bounced a check at. The TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent was the return check fee.

If you notice a TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent in your account, I recommend checking back with any recent or even not so recent transactions you may have made, and make sure that nothing bounced! If something did bounce, chances are it was the bank or check processor that handled that bounced check that debited your account with a TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent fee.
END UPDATE

I just want to cry. If you want to know what really has me worked up, click here to go directly to that part of the entry. Have you ever noticed that you can’t have the good :optimistic: without the bad? :pessimistic: Let’s recap my day, shall we?

Good: Taking a nap from 11:00am-3:30pm.
Bad: Feeling groggy and having the mother of all headaches upon waking up.

Good: Finding some shirts and pants that I forgot I had.
Bad: Being unable to fit into them. :whimper: Thanks a lot Alyssa! :haha:

Good: Finding my portable CD player. :music: This means that I can now have music in my car, since the radio that’s in there works when it wants to. Mainly, it’s stuck on static, and a good bump in the road will get it “scanning” again, and it’ll eventually pick a station. Then a bad bump will knock it back into static mode. :irked:
Bad: Hooking it up through the cassette tape method of transferring audio from CD player to radio, then finding out the the lens on the player must be dirty/scratched, because every single track of every single CD I tried skips like hell. And no, it isn’t the cassette tape method thing messing it up, because I used it a few weeks ago with my mother’s portable CD player, which, like everything else she owns, is in perfect condition. :frustrated:

Good: FINALLY getting Daniel’s $250.00 deposit back from First Team Home Sales.*
Bad: Not being able to touch it until Tuesday. Damn banks and their next business day bullshit!

*On July 20th Daniel handed a check for $250.00 over to the realtor at First Team Home Sales. It was a safety deposit that would “hold” the mobile home we were looking at (remember?) while we scrambled to get a loan of some sort. We were told verbally and in writing (a contract all three of us signed) that if we were unable to get the loan, or changed our mind, we would get the deposit back, no questions asked. As of July 27th it was apparent that we would be unable to be approved for a loan, so I called First Team to tell them so, and requested the refund.
Well. I called every other day from July 27th-August 2nd. My calls were never answered, and my messages were never returned. Finally, on August 2nd, while Daniel and I were out, FT called my mother and told her to tell me that they received my messages and would be mailing a check that day.
Fast forward to August 9th. No check. It should not take more than 1-2 days for a check to arrive, considering its departing city and destination city (township, actually) were eight miles apart! So I called yet again. Still no answer, no reply to my message.
Last night my mother asked how it was going with getting in touch with FT. Since I hadn’t said anything about it or made any phone calls, she assumed that we had gotten the refund. Duh! With the stress of moving and unpacking and working and getting ready for Alyssa, I had gotten sidetracked from going after FT! So, I made yet another phone call to FT last night and left the following message on their machine:

“Hi, this is Jennifer [private]. I’m calling yet AGAIN about the $250.00 deposit that is owed to myself and Daniel [private]. It has been nearly a month now and still no check, and no communication from you. I don’t know why you’re not answering my calls or returning them, but I’m tired of this. If I don’t hear from you by the weekend I’m going to go ahead and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as start a claim with small claims court. My telephone number is ***-***-****. Thank you.”

This morning I was over near their office with my mother (I went to a doctor’s appointment with her), so we stopped by on the way back. They were in the office. I marched in prepared to do battle, and was very blunt with Jim (realtor):
“Hi. I’m Jennifer [private]. I’m here for the refund that is owed to Daniel [private] and I. I have been trying to get in touch with you for weeks, and have been unable to. That’s why I decided to stop by this morning.”
The little weasel tried to feed me some bullshit about him and his partner trying to get a hold of both Daniel and myself for weeks (funny, both Daniel’s parents and my mother have caller ID activated on their phones. There were no phone calls!), and that they had sent the check but had gotten it back, blah blah blah. Yeah, right. And I can fit into a size 10 jeans. The check was freshly printed with today’s date. Obviously, it took the threat of legal action to get them moving. Fuckers.

Good: Getting $70.00 worth of checks.
Bad: Being unable to cash them (see below).
So, I drive over the bank and go through the drive-thru. The clerk tells me that she is unable to cash my checks because of my account being negative. My jaw drops. :wow::wtf: I hadn’t touched the account at all (withdrawls, checks, check/debit card) since August 7th, and the debits I made those days were well covered. I ask her what the transaction is, and she tells me it’s a charge for $30.00 from “TELESVCFEE EFT SVCFEE ACH Ent”. Obviously, I have no recollection of that name or the amount, because I DIDN’T AUTHORIZE THE TRANSACTION!!!

I’m ready to cry. Okay, I have cried. I’m tearing up now, and I’m sure I’ll cry some more once Daniel gets home and I tell him. I called my bank immediately to report the transaction as fraud/theft, and they’re going to investigate, but in the meantime I’m out of $30. Plus, they want me to contact the company (they’re going to give me the company’s details on Monday) first to try and dispute the issue. And, on top of that, I’m going to get hit with a $35.00 overdraft fee. I said to the rep on the phone, “I’m screwed, aren’t I? When I ontact the company, and manage to dispute the $30.00 and get that back, I’m still out of the $35.00, aren’t I?” He said, “Well, I wouldn’t quite put it in those terms, but…” He then said to see about getting the $30.00 back, seeing if the company will also refund the $35.00 that I was charged because of them, and if not, contact the bank and dispute it with them.
So, it looks like I’ll have a fun week of hassling over the phone. I can’t believe I’m going to be out $65.00. Taking into consideration taxes being taken out, it will take me 12.5 hours to earn that. As it is, I’m going to need my entire next check to combine with Daniel’s to cover the bills that we’re going to get hit with all at once: rent ($570), car insurance ($52 for me, $60 for him), cell phone bill ($45), electric ($70 + whatever the actual usage is; total will be around $120 or so), phone ($40), cable/internet ($80), and of course, food, cat food, toiletries, and gas for the cars. The bills alone will be about $957. It takes about $22 to completely fill each car’s gas tank, cat food is $17, toiletries can add up (though for now we’re okay), etc. Our combined checks will be around $1100.
And now to find out I’ll be out at least $35.00 (let’s face it, banks aren’t very good about refunding overdraft charges, even if it’s not your fault!), but probably $65.00 until this is all straightened out?! That $65.00 would be one of the phone bills, or half of the electric, or one of the car insurance’s, or even enough to have food!

Gah. Nothing like being off to a horrible, horrible start. :ack:

And I can’t even really work a lot to generate extra income. I’m eight months pregnant, and as it is I’ve had some slight spotting a few days ago and cramping off and on. I’ve been to the obgyn, and I’ve been advised to cut my work hours drastically. My family is screaming at me to quit altogether, Daniel has mentioned it, and I want to too, but there’s bills to pay and I want to try and squeeze out another three weeks worth of work, and then take maternity leave. As it is, I have cut my hours: I’ve left a note with management asking to be scheduled for no more than four or five hours at a time. :(
Ugh, and now, as if to add in her :twocents:, Alyssa is kicking/shoving at my ribs. :haha:

Hosted with PP? Read this!

A short summary: Dominick (owner of PP) has completely fucked up his servers (he’s blaming the problem on a server admin, but that’s debatable), and to make a long story short, is spewing out lies and exaggerations, and now seems to be pulling another Endore (remember how they just “ran”?).

So, if your site is down and you’re with PP, now you know. :( Unfortunately, there’s no way to know if Dominick will do the right thing and get things running, or at the very least give people access to their domains.

But, instead of taking this lying down, you can file complaints with the following:

You know what’s really fun? :bewbies: A quick romp in bed before work. :censored: You know what’s not fun? Work. :blah: I’m working from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Lucky, lucky me. :eyeroll: But, at least I have off tomorrow! :sing:

Ugh, my hands are driving me nuts. One of the scratches from Toby isn’t healing well. I think it’s slightly infected, though I keep cleaning it and putting neosporin (Wal-Mart brand! :haha:) on it. It itches like hell. Then I have a few bug bites (I think they’re from fleas :bomb:) on both hands, so they’re driving me nuts. :eyecrazy: I’m so glad I have my nails short again. Otherwise, I’d be ripping my hands to shreds. :frustrated:

Okay. Off I go. Bye!

Pinchpenny?

It looks like Pinchpenny did it again. Only this time, it was an “admin” that supposedly went a little apeshit and fucked around with the PP server and most likely deleted all of the accounts on there. Dominick, the owner of PP, is claiming that it’s just a DNS issue, but that doesn’t explain why only some sites are coming up, and they’re not all coming up at once. If it was a matter of re-registering nameservers or entering in IPs for them again, all the sites would come up at once, not some here, some there. Ermina and I have a hunch that accounts were indeed deleted, and Dominick is talking out of his ass while he’s restoring sites from back ups. Of course, we’ll know for sure when people get their sites back – if they’re exactly as they were right before things were messed up, then fine. But if changes they’ve made to their sites within the past day or two (layouts, blog entries, comments, etc.) are suddenly not there (as if they never existed), then it’s for sure that back ups were restored.
Anyway, the point of my rambling is this: if you’re with Pinchpenny and wanting to jump ship, but don’t have the funds to right now, contact me. I can provide temporary hosting for your domain(s) for up to one month. Space would be 50mb, bandwidth would be 2gigs. Not a lot, but then, I’m offering this for free. If you’re interested, my e-mail address is x@(remove)kiss-my-kitty.com.

Today I went out and got the neccessities for stew. :yummy: Everything is in the crock pot now. It should be done around 12:00am-12:30am. I can’t wait!

Thanks for all the nice comments regarding my big tummy. :stork-girl: I can’t believe how quickly Alyssa is growing! Last night she was kicking and turning and twisting really hard. She was actually keeping me up! :ack:
