Daniel finished setting up my new desk for me last night, and tonight after work I put my computer back together on it. Daniel came home from work (since he was closing manager, and he now works at a different BK, he didn’t get home until around 1:30am) and set up the router and network, and ta-dah, we’re both on the internet again!
Mmmm. Cable internet is nice!
Yesterday I worked from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Today I worked from 3:00pm-11:30pm. Stupid me clocked in around 2:55pm and then checked the day’s schedule – I didn’t have to start until 3:30pm. :irked: It figures. Oh well. Extra money. :cha-ching:
Let’s see. Daniel and I are doing well. Today (16th) is our four year anniversary! This time four years ago I was bouncing around my mom’s house, unable to go to sleep because I was so hepped up about going to Six Flags with Daniel in the morning. That was a nice first date. :cloudnine:
He’s felt Alyssa move more often now. I called him into the bedroom the other night when she was really active. I would poke or push her and she would shove back. At one point the entire left side of my stomach bulged out – I think she butted me with her head or her butt. :haha: It was cute. Sometimes her movements startle me. It’s not like a sneeze or a hiccup, where you feel it coming, or a movement of your hand, when you know you’re doing it. This is just completely out of the blue, when she wants to do it.
Heh. Another thing.with being pregnant: there is no black-gray-white scale with having to pee. What I mean is: Ever feel the urge to pee, but it’s not really strong, so you can hold it for another ten minutes, half hour, or even an hour? You know, there’s the “hmm, I think I have to pee” feeling which is annoying, but not urgent. Then there’s, “Shit, I have to go…now!” Well, with being pregnant, there is no “scale”, just extremes: either you don’t have to pee, or you have to pee, and goddammit you need to pee now or else!
I’ve started the war on fleas. I went to visit my mom Saturday night and came home with a full can of Raid. I went nuts and sprayed all of the carpeting twice. Tomorrow I’m getting flea shampoo to bathe the cats in, and then Advantage to put on their skin. I’ll then spray the carpets again. If the little fuckers aren’t dead as doornails and gone by Friday, I’ll get flea bombs. As it is, I’ll need flea bombs to set off three weeks from now, to take care of any new fleas that might have resulted from eggs laid by the ones around now.
Anyway, I’m getting sleepy, so I think I’ll wrap this up: I have off today and Tuesday. Yay! :hop:

I could cry. :whimper: My poor fur babies have fleas. But I refuse to take this lying down. :noway: First thing Monday morning I’m heading to the bank and then to Petsmart for the following:
- Flea shampoo (for cats)
- Advantage (for cats)
- Flea spray (for all furniture, underneath the bed, box springs, along floorboards, corners, window frames, doorframes and doorways)
- Flea bombs (one for each room of the house)
First I’ll shampoo the cats. Then I’ll apply Advantage. Then I’ll go around and spray everything. Finally, I’ll pack the cats in their carriers (no towels, just in case of re-infesting them and then the house) and then bomb the house. I’ll drown, poison and nuke those little bastards to hell and back again.
Little fuckers! How dare you touch my cats! :bigmouth: In the meantime I’ve given Mulder a bath to help drown some of the fuckers and to give him some relief. Once Toby comes out from under the bed (stupid me, he won’t now that he saw what happened to Mulder. :eyeroll: I should have done him first.) I’ll bathe him too.
I’m glad I caught this right away. So far I only see a few fleas/flea crud (eggs/feces) on each of them. So, it’s not a total invasion of fleas. Just a few. But, as I know from bitter experience, a few can turn into many, many fleas.

Everything that I own is now in the house. Although something tells me my mother will be finding little odds and ends here and there, so I’ll still have to make a trip back to her place to get whatever I missed. Like I said in the last entry, I brought over the last of my clothes, toiletries and the fur babies :cat: Wednesday night. Thursday evening after work I went to my mom’s house, cleaned up Yusef’s bedroom and brought over my computer and desk chair.
Today I picked up my paycheck, cashed it, put gas in the tank of the Kia (it was on empty! :ack: Yesterday I drove it on E for 18 miles, put in a gallon (pocket change), and drove it another 35 until this morning!), brought Daniel breakfast (McD’s), and then we waited for the Comcast tech to come out. He did, hence me watching digital cable and posting this right now. After the tech left Daniel went to work, and I went out to Staples to get the desk (it’s in the car for Daniel to bring in tonight) and bookcase (they’re delivering it on Monday since they were out of stock), and then over to K-Mart for some things: a Martha Stewart dish set clearanced for $12, trash bags, two trash cans, dish rack, and shelf paper.
Right now I’m sitting on my butt wishing my stomach would feel better. :melt: I’ve been throwing up :puke: since late this morning. Once I feel a little more lively I’ll wash dishes and get the kitchen items put away, and then I think I’ll take a nap.
Oh yeah: I’m not on my computer because 1) there’s no desk to put it on (it needs to be put together, remember? :)) and 2) Daniel still has to get the router back from his friend Matt (or buy a new one). Thank goodness for Daniel’s computer! :haha: I really wish I could check my e-mail. :frustrated: Argh. Oh well. Later tonight, I’m sure.
One last thing! I promise to take pictures of the house… just as soon as everything is in and put away. :angelic:

Around midnight I took over three sets of clean bed sheets as well as a blanket. I put some things away, made the bed, and helped Daniel put the AC unit into the bedroom window. We then “broke the bed in” :censored: (as my mother put it; little does she know we did that Sunday night! :mischievous:) and went to sleep.
Today I was able to get blinds for the bedroom window, kitchen door and living room door, a shower curtain, and basic food: milk, bread, butter, cheese, lunch meat, mayo, cereal, soup, a bag of fries, and two mini pizzas.
Tomorrow we should be getting our paychecks. :cha-ching: I’m getting this desk (it’s the same as the one I have now. I’m leaving it here for my brother.), this bookcase (the tallest one), and some dishes, towels, some more food, trash cans, trash bags, and other household items that I can’t think of right now.
Right now I’m packing up the last bit of my stuff – the cats, toiletries, the little bit of clothes left, etc., and taking them over to the house. We’re now officially moved in!
I’ll be getting my computer either tomorrow night or Friday.

Thank you so much Damita!
Work was boring, and long. Right now I’m waiting for some sheets to dry; as soon as they do I’ll be going over to the house for a bit.
