Daniel and I are expecting our second child, a boy, on July 22, 2006.

First Trimester
November 4th: I “knew” I was pregnant. At this point my period wasn’t even late yet, but I knew.
November 11th: Four pregnancy tests confirmed the pregnancy.
November 14th: We told everyone the wonderful news.
December 8th: Ultrasounds proving a positive pregnancy were done.
Pregnancy side effects: Fatigue, sore breasts, heartburn, some morning sickness.
Second Trimester
January 17th: More ultrasounds to confirm progression of pregnancy were done.
March 7th: Gender-determining ultrasounds were done. It’s a boy!
Pregnancy side effects: Fatigue tapering off, then picking up again around 22 weeks; severe heartburn, frequent urination, swelling of breasts, darkening of nipples, leaking of colostrum, braxton hicks contractions, lower back pain, round ligament pain.
Third Trimester
June 24, 2006: I am now nine months pregnant!
July 1, 2006: Cue major swelling in ankles and feet.
July 11, 2006: An ultrasound revealed that Ryan is in the transverse position.
July 12, 2006: We have finally settled on a name: Ryan Edgar.
July 13, 2006: An external cephalic version will be done in an attempt to turn Ryan into the proper position.
July 26, 2006: The ECV failed, so a c-section is scheduled for 8:00am, unless Ryan turns on his own.
Pregnancy side effects: Severe heartburn, frequent urination, Braxton hicks contractions, achiness and discomfort in pelvic region, ache in lower back, rib pain due to baby pushing around.
