Q. How many categories do you have on Jenn.Nu? How many categories do you think is suitable per post? 1, 2, 3? Why?
A. jenn.nu has nine active categories, but I only use the same 2-3 all of the time.

Q. You say that you & Dan disagree on circumcision so was Ryan not circumcised? My partner and I disagree over this too. Feel free not to answer if it's invading :)
A. We chose not to.

Q. I have heard that sometimes after GB or LB surgery the patients go through a "grieving process" for the food (types or amounts) they are no longer able to eat. Did you experience anything like this?
A. TBH, I broke down and cried six days after my surgery, when my husband and our friend Jason took the kids out for lunch at a local pizza & pasta buffet. It wasn't that I wanted to stuff myself silly on food; I just wanted SOMETHING besides broth.
Here and there between my surgery date and Christmas I got pangs of longing in terms of being able to eat a full plate of food, or pig out on a steak or a big bowl of mac & cheese, but for the most part I've been okay. And as I've gotten further from my surgery date I've definitely become more at peace with my decision and my new way of eating.
What helps is being able to eat just about anything, even if it's only teensy nibbles, and losing so much weight and looking better, feeling better, and being able to wear smaller sizes & trendier clothes!

A. At the time, I had health insurance, and he didn't.

Q. What happened to the curvy girls? I really enjoyed watching your videos over there.
A. The leader of the group, Caity, decided to close it because several of us had other commitments and weren't able to consistently participate in the group. I miss it. :( I do still video blog on occasion; I store my videos on Vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/kissmykitty

Q. do you sometimes regret getting yourself "fixed" even though you are aware you dont want any children at this time?
A. If you would have asked me this a year ago, I would have said yes. But now that Alyssa and Ryan are older, more independent, involved in preschool (and in Alyssa's case, getting ready to go to kindergarten!), the answer is definitely no. As much as I love babies, adore tiny newborns, and loved being pregnant with and having Alyssa and Ryan, I'm SO glad we're past the days of broken sleep, dozens of baby clothes, babyproofing, and hauling around diaper bags and baby gear. I love how independent my children are getting, because in turn it frees me up a bit.

Q. do you remember everyone you come in contact with on the net throughout the years in detail or only a main select few who have stayed by your side?
A. I remember a lot of people, people I have liked, people I have disliked, people who have influenced me or made an impact on me, etc. I also remember people that have, unfortunately, died. Heather of painful-realizations.com, for example, suddenly passed away several years ago. It was a huge shock, as was HighlandAmy's death. I remember them both.

A. Good question. I'm going to say $6000 a month would be an awesome start, lol.

Q. when you and dan fight or argue about something, do you two talk things thru or is it a sweep under the carpet and move on type situation?
A. We generally talk things through. There are only a few issues we sweep under the carpet, and that's only because we agree to disagree. Circumcision and hunting are the two major ones.

Q. So I am using Role Manager so that I can allow different people to read my private posts, however it doesn't seem to allow them to comment. How do I remedy this?
A. I honestly have no idea. Are the approved users able to comment on regular posts? Are non-registered visitors able to comment on posts?

Q. Prior to your surgery, did you consider group programs such as Weight Watchers?
A. I did, and in the past I've tried Curves and Weight Watchers online. Unfortunately I did not have long-term success, which is one more reason why I decided to have the surgery.

Q. Forgive me if this is too intrusive but... I can't seem to find anything on your website about anti-porn, and I remember you had a webring (or something) dedicated to it. Did you change your mind on the subject? (I'm having mixed thoughts about it at the moment and was curious...)
A. I did have a webring for anti-porn a long time ago... I changed my outlook on porn in 2003-2004. I should write a blog entry about this, actually, as my answer would be a little too long and rambly for this Q&A!
