Then, a $169 product for $49.50. Whoo! I’m not revealing details because they’re Christmas presents for people who read my blog.

Right now I am feeling super sleepy and slightly nauseous, besides hurty and bloaty, so I’m going to bed.

I shall leave you with my masterpiece (which Dan thoughtfully put together for me while I was trying to get my shit together and quit crying from misery/pain, because crying + deep/heavy/ragged breathing = even more abdominal pain):

1/2 Vicodin + 1/2 Percocet + a dab of buttercream frosting (acting as a glue) = Vicoset!

Last week I won an eBay auction for a Pro-Optic 8mm f/3.5 Manual Focus Fish Eye Lens. The lens was used, but described by the seller as currently in mint condition, nothing cosmetically wrong with the lens, and nothing wrong with the mechanics or glass.

Bull-freaking-shit. Once I popped the lens on my camera and started taking photos I knew something was wrong. The lens refused to focus. It took shots just fine, but turning the focus ring produced no results. At first I thought it was just me spazzing with such a different type of lens, so I set up a stationery object, placed the camera on the table and took a series of photos, turning the focus ring a few notches after every photo. I took twelve photos in all, with each one looking the same. To confirm my suspicions I took the lens to a local camera repair shop, who also confirmed that it’s not working. I got home about a half an hour ago, and immediately sent an email to the seller. His listing says that he does not accept returns, but since he misrepresented (knowingly or unknowingly, who knows) a BROKEN item as a WORKING one, he had better process the return ASAP. And if he doesn’t, I have no qualms about getting eBay and PayPal involved. I also have no qualms about outing him via my blog, Facebook, Flickr and Twitter, since he maintains an active presence on all four media outlets.

Fuck. All I wanted was a decently priced fisheye.

Anyway… so it’s supposed to snow tonight. Again. It snowed/rained down freezing rain on Monday night, and it snowed last week, and I believe the week before. Alyssa and Ryan have already had two snow days and two two-hour delays. Now that I’m a parent, I know just how much those suck. ;) And since we’re supposed to get 3-4″ overnight, I’m pretty much counting on tomorrow being a snow day, or at the very least, a two-hour delay. Not so bad for Alyssa, who will just go into school two hours later. But Ryan’s preschool remains closed if there is a two-hour delay. Boo.

In other news, I am wearing a hoodie and a bra from Victoria’s Secret. Being small enough to wear apparel from such an iconic store for women means so much… you have no idea!

Ah, the joys of weight loss. There’s the drop in weight and clothing sizes — my weight has started with a 1 (instead of a 2, or, at my heaviest/worst, a 3), and I’m in a pair of “generous” size 131 jeans today. But then there’s the things “they” don’t tell you — like what the release of hormones stored in your fat cells will do to you. Heh. Currently, I’m coming off my period, my face is broken out, my nipples feel numb, my sex drive suddenly (as in, since yesterday) shot through the roof (whereas before reading up on New Construction Minnesota sounded more exciting than sex), and my orgasm button2 is broken. What the hell? Mother Nature, you are one evil bitch. The orgasm issue is enough to deal with, but then when you throw in the sudden urge to chain your husband to the bed so he and his penis can’t stray too far? That’s just cruel.

So, it’s Friday afternoon (or is it evening? At what point does it go from afternoon to evening? 3? 4?), and my kids have deluded themselves into thinking that they will be playing Little Big Planet and other PS3 games on the new television. HA. Mommy didn’t run all over the county on the off-chance of finding someone who could repair Daddy’s old PS3 (it kicked from the YLOD last spring) for nothing. Besides surprising Dan with the restoration of his first and favoritest PS3 (it’s the backwards-compatible one), I also had in mind the option of giving the kids somewhere else to play games on the days when Dan and/or I want to watch TV.

I have a minor obsession with nail polish. Heh. I thought I had it under control, and then Allyson had to go post on Lavish a coupon code that entitles you to not one but three FREE nail polishes from Zoya (S&H not included). That coupon code is FB2011 — but hurry, the promo ends tonight, so get those orders in! So anyway, I placed three orders (thanks Dan, and my mom… lol), so that’s nine AMAZING nail polishes that will be coming my way soon (hopefully)!

As most of you know (as if I don’t make it fairly obvious), I had gastric bypass surgery last November. That means my stomach is around/not much larger than the size of an egg, and I digest slowly (except for sugar — that crap seems to hit my system FAST, which triggers the nasty Dumping Syndrome). Translation: if I want to provide my body with the nutrients and protein that it needs, I need to use supplements. I would have to eat what would be, for me, several days worth of meat in order to get just one day’s worth of protein. Obviously there’s no way that’s happening, so I rely on protein powders (I usually get some chocolate flavor and mix it with milk — milk is creamier and thus better tasting than water, plus it has about 1g of protein per ounce) and the occasional (read: once a week or so) protein bar.

I also rely on vitamin supplements — densely packed multivitamins — to get the vitamins and minerals that I need. Oh, and then there are the calcium chews (or when I’m cheap and not totally feeling the overpriced-chewy-versions, tablets that Dan oh-so-nicely breaks in half for me), and the additional B12 I try to get in through multivitamins.

Summary? I need lots of supplements. I usually get them from local stores and gastric bypass oriented nutritional websites, but I recently set sights on evitamins.com. Their prices, particularly on protein supplements are decent, and they routinely offer coupon codes and other deals on their Twitter account, @evitamins. I’d definitely recommend them for nutritional supplements!

(I just noticed that I am a parentheses abuser. Sorry.)

It was relatively easy for me to shop when I was 331 lbs. and wearing a size 26/28/30/32 (I list all four sizes, because I really did have clothes that spanned all four of them; the fit and brand determined the size I ultimately went with), because my body was stable, and there were certain brands I could rely upon to be consistent with how they fit.

Now? Shopping is a HUGE pain. The only thing I don’t have trouble purchasing is underwear, haha. Size XL from Target or a L from Fashion Bug and I’m good to go. But bras? Shirts? Pants? Don’t even get me started. On the bra front, I’m somewhere between a 36DD and a 38D, depending on the fit of things (TMI: I have a bit of loose skin on my breasts, so my cups often runneth over because of it). But every bra fits differently. I found that out several weeks ago, when I purchase 17 white bras in order to find one or two that would fit nicely. I wound up with two, then had to run all over the other bras back to the stores I bought them from.

Shirts? It depends on the store. At Target, I’m an XL or XXL. At Fashion Bug and Old Navy, I’m a L. At Walmart, I’m an XL. Thankfully getting the top part of shirts to fit well isn’t the challenge it once was, since my breasts are more reasonably sized.

Pants? Ergh. In a matter of two months I’ve gone from an 18 to a 14. Hello? Where did my ass, hips and thighs go? Speaking of thighs, they’re still thunderous when compared to my overall size. I have trouble with a lot of junior pants, because to get them to fit my thighs means having the dreaded waist gap and hip sag. But I’ve been trying on pants at different stores this week to nail down my exact size, and it looks as though I’m a 15 in juniors, and a 14 in “regular” plus size clothing. Yet for shorts I’m a 15 or a 17.

I’m looking forward to getting these last pounds off and stabilizing. I’m also looking forward to additional milestones, such as today’s “I’m a size 14!!!” milestone:

Oh, and I was 202.6 lbs. this morning. That’s my lowest weight yet. I’m just 2.7 lbs. away from being in ONEderland, and only .6 lbs. heavier than Dan (yes, I’m making him weigh himself now too haha). Yay!
